We are Aly and Betty, the faces behind bean + butter body snacks. Together, we have been through thick and thin as co-workers, best friends, and now business partners. With Aly’s background in skincare and Betty’s extensive background in business management, we found it only natural to take our friendship to the next level by jumping into “business bed” and creating our baby, bean + butter body snacks. With our values aligned and our hearts dedicated to breaking the norms of the skincare industry, we knew we had something special.

As women, we have experienced our fair share of body shaming over the years, along with the societal pressures to fit a certain description of “beauty”. We see time and time again, brands marketing their products in such a way that is fuelled by people’s insecurities. We’ve both fallen victim to these toxic marketing tactics, and frankly, we've had enough.
When we created bean + butter, we knew we wanted to be more than just a “brand”. We wanted to be part of a movement. A movement to normalize all bodies, promote body acceptance, positivity + empowerment, encourage people to learn to love the skin they’re in and to create an inclusive company that celebrates a diverse demographic. We believe beauty has less to do with what you look like, and more to do with how you feel, and taking time to focus on loving yourself a little bit more can make you feel on top of the world. Our mission is to create a product that will allow you to take a bit of time to focus on yourself, nourish your skin, and leave you feelin’ like the snack you are!

All of our products are handmade in small batches with natural, plant-based ingredients and smell so good you’ll be tempted to taste! The utmost love and care goes into every detail from picking the ingredients down to the packaging and we pride ourselves in assuring that quality is never compromised. Most ingredients are sourced in Canada and we handmake every product in Delta, BC. We use rich, nourishing plant butters and oils, whip them to perfection and pair them with organic, fair-trade coffee beans and delicious scents to create a decadent treat for your skin. The same skin-loving ingredients are used in all our body butters and oils to ensure you get the same benefits no matter what product you choose. This is not just a business, but a passion, and we are always finding ways to improve, perfect and curate new products for you to enjoy.
